International Training of the LE.A.DE.R. Project in Barcelona

The LE.A.DE.R. project (Learning and Decision Making Resources) has organized its first International Training session in Barcelona (11-15 April 2016) as an opportunity for esperts, teachers and practitioners to share ideas and tools with the intention to design an experimentation aimed at building a European framework for Career Management Skills and to test guidance services within this context.

In this sense, the work proposed by the project team will have as a pilot aim to tie certain guidance actions and services to a common framework: in this way the contents, tasks and tools of various existing pathways identified by the research team will have a close connection and especially an added value seen in the context of a specific set of skills.
Through the pilot actions, that will start during next months in all the partner countries, the project tends to support the guidance actions and guidance counselors, and also favor the person's sense of being a participant in a specific process of acquiring skills and knowledge related in their own career management.
These issues were addressed during the working groups and then compared with the experts during the Conference on Wednesday 13th April. The last sessions of the training week were dedicated to practical work of design of the national pilot actions and on the evaluation of the experience.
During the week of the training participants had the opportunity to visit also Barcelona Activa, an advanced municipal structure regarding the offer of guidance services and support for the job search and entrepreneurial adwise for new start-up businesses. The well-organized and innovative environment inspired the participants and offered interesting insights for service innovation in local contexts.
