What do people need to be able to access labor market and manage their careers? How to be prepared to deal with change and uncertainty? With what kind of resources and tools can guidance services help people to develop their learning goals and employability skills?
These were some of the questions approached during the working sessions of the Conference by speakers, members of the project partnership and guests. Giulio Iannis from Centro Studi Pluriversum approached the new challenges that guidance has to face in the age of complexity and the change of paradigm that has occurred during the last years. Siobhan Neary from Derby University presented the results of the international survey on career management skills realized by in the partner countries to design a common framework.
Among the external experts intervened Prof. Marius Martinez from UAB who presented an innovative project Som-hi about guidance actions for transformation and access to the labor market.
The round table with participants during the afternoon sessions provoked some comments and thoughts by guests and representatives of local bodies on the role of guidance services and how they can develop in practice the career management skills of their users. The value of a common European framework on CMS and the role of lifelong guidance was shared by Conference audience and by the LE.A.DE.R. project partners and the training participants.
